Microwave // Live @ Baltimore Soundstage // 4.21.26 CONCERT REVIEWS FEATURED MUSIC by Kimmi Taylor - April 25, 2026 Article and Photos by: Kimmi Taylor Baltimore, MD – The Baltimore Soundstage hosted Microwave as they rolled into Baltimore on their 2026 North American tour celebrating the 10th anniversary of their album, Much Love. Opening the night was Bad Luck.. Hailing from New York, they brought hometown edge that connected with the crowd almost instantly. Their set carried an easygoing confidence, and they moved through it with a natural, unforced chemistry. They came across like a group of friends simply enjoying the moment onstage. They delivered an extremely entertaining and hard-hitting opening set, foreshadowing the evening to follow. HUNNY followed, elevating the energy with a fun, high-spirited thirty-minute set. Although the Baltimore crowd didn’t seem especially familiar with their songs, it still helped set the tone for Microwave’s set to come. They opened with their upbeat song, “Halloween.” Their performance fostered an electric yet laid-back atmosphere. Packed with infectious guitar riffs and danceable tracks, the set kept the audience fully engaged throughout. It’s fair to say they likely gained some new fans from this performance. If they come through your area, they’re definitely worth checking out. It is now time for Anthony Green. This is the most well-known of the supporting acts, and the crowd has piled onto the floor to see his set. They open with “Don’t Dance,” a song who is getting a lot of streams at the moment. He opened the set mostly featured tracks from their new album, So Long, Avalon, though a few older songs were sprinkled throughout as well. Finally closing out the night with the hit, “Dear Child (I’ve Been Dying To Reach You),” the crowd The time has arrived for the headliner, Microwave to take the stage. They wasted no time getting started, immediately diving in and letting the sound ring out through the crowd with powerful emotional intensity and wide dynamic range. They kicked it off with the opening track, “Roaches” from their 2016 album, Much Love. The setlist had a nice mix, pulling from their early work from albums, Stovall and Much Love, all the way to their newest album, Let’s Start. Degeneracy. Their set felt like it could have gone on forever, and the audience wouldn’t have batted an eye. Microwave proved that their sound can stand the test of time. One thing was clear after the show: fans eagerly await what is next for Microwave, and those audience members hope they will return to Maryland soon.
