Cincinnati, OH – The Andrew J Brady Music Center hosted three groovin’ rock bands on a Monday night while the Cincinnati Reds played just down the road.  A busy night for downtown Cincinnati.

The Soundtrack Of Your Life 2026 Tour features Boston’s Boys Like Girls as they celebrate two of their hit albums: their 2006 self-titled album and 2009’s Love Drunk.  The band played both albums from start to finish to a crowd eager to sing, shout and dance throughout.

The band’s current line-up is comprised of two original members, Martin Johnson (vocals, rhythm guitar) and John Keefe (drums), along with Jamel Hawke (lead guitar), and Gregory James (bass).

While the band went quiet for close to a decade, they have recently emerged to revive their legacy and bring new music to fans.  Sunday At Foxwoods is their latest release (2023).

Coming off late-2025 support for The Jonas Brothers, the band has hit their groove.  They worked the large stage with ease – lean and fresh.  The positivity of their alternative radio rock sound infused the crowd with a welcome heart-pounding escape from the world’s drama.

Opening the evening’s events were Arrows In Action and IDKHOW.  Both were perfect pairings for Boys Like Girls, and were well-received by the fans.

Arrows In Action

Florida’s Arrows In Action started the evening with a strong showing.  The band is Victor Viramontes-Pattison (vocals, guitar), Matthew Fowler (guitar), and Jesse Frimmel (drums).  They just released their new album I Think I’ve Been Here Before last September, their first album signed to a label.  It is the start of a new era for this rising band.

From Salt Lake City, Utah, IDKHOW (I Don’t Know How but They Found Me) performed next.  Dallon Weekes (vocals, guitar, bass) is touring with support from Anthony Purpura (guitar, keyboards, bass), Isaac Paul (guitar, keyboards, bass) and Ronnie Strauss (drums).

IDKHOW

A shout-out to the band’s opening song, “The Opening Band,” a clever nod to their role as an opening band for the tour.  The song repeatedly states that no one likes the opening band, presented with charming irony and humor, making the crowd laugh.  Weekes did interject “except Arrows In Action” at one point, so as only to comedically mock themselves.

The tour continues stateside into May 2026.  Boys Like Girls then move on to the UK this summer with support from As It Is and Call Me Amour.  Check each band’s website for a show near you.
