Harrison, OH – It was not just any Wednesday night, but indeed one brimming with female-led rock bands at Blue Note Harrison, just outside Cincinnati, Ohio. Plush’s Mass Hysteria Tour kicked off in early, August, promoting Plush’s upcoming September 18 release of their album of the same name.

Plush, formed in Albany NY, is comprised of three Gen Z women still in their 20s: Moriah Formica (vocals, guitar), Ashley Suppa (bass), and Faith Powell (drums). Their music is pure rock, and the band already has a number of Billboard Top 40 hits to their credit, including “Hate,” “Better Off Alone,” “Left Behind,” and “Run.”

This young, fresh band has been embraced by the rock community, supporting established icons such as Disturbed, KISS, Alice in Chains, Evanescence, Daughtry and Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators. Indeed, their 2025 single, “Why,” was co-written by Formica and Disturbed’s David Draiman.

The band’s performance at Blue Note Harrison was brimming with a vigorous rock energy. The venue is intimate, giving the crowd an up-close rock experience that is unusual, and special.

Formica, a former contestant on The Voice as a teenager, delivered solid, soulful vocals with apparent ease, while Powell on drums was stellar, and Suppa offered lead vocals for one song atop her duties on bass.

The band performed several songs from the upcoming album, including “Mass Hysteria” “Animalistic” and “Where Is My Mind.”

Openers Major Moment, a Boston band with two Russian-born vocalists, and Ohio’s Archers Gate, gave solid performances as well. Plenty of rock ‘n roll to lead into Plush’s set.
