BLUEGRASS IN THE BLUEGRASS! // The Farm Jamb Bluegrass Festival

The 4th Annual Farm Jamb Bluegrass Festival is back and bigger! I’d say better, but it’s always been great since its first occasion in 2021. This is not your dry, dusty, arid, scalding, barely survivable desert-scape with four-figure ticket prices and 1,000 bands. The beautiful, tranquil, verdant McClurg Family Farm (located about 30 minutes outside of Louisville in Baghdad, Kentucky) plays host from June 5th to 7th. It’s the perfect atmosphere to hear the finest quality Bluegrass music with friends and family. It’s worth mentioning that the Saturday night headliner is Dan Tyminski, the superpower guitarist with Alison Krauss’ Union Station band, and currently riding a successful tour with his own band.

Gates open at 9 AM on Wednesday, June 4th (for campers), and tickets are available at the gate. Check out more information below; they have a Facebook page, and if you’d like more specifics, these folks would be happy to talk to you: Rachel Wallace (502) 370-1675 or Ron McClurg (859) 983-2782.

Michael W. Bright
Michael W. Bright enjoyed a 30 year career in rock radio, both on the air and most notably as Program Director of seminal Alternative Rock icon WFNX in Boston. His first concert experience was Jefferson Airplane in 1967 and he hasn't gotten live music out of his system yet. He currently lives on a small farm in pastoral Pewee Valley, outside of Louisville, Kentucky with his huge family.
